CNF is both a catalyst for progress and a leader in promoting issues that affect people of Nigeria. Guided by the highest standards of excellence in researching, documenting, and disseminating information about Nigeria, CNF is poised to provide leadership necessary to sustain and strengthen the relationship between California and Nigeria.
CNF is confident that its connections and strategic linkages with other organizations will enable it deliver the most relevant, unbiased, accurate, and timely information for public policy purposes, both in Nigeria and the United States. Therefore, CNF will dedicate itself to becoming the most authoritative public policy organization by providing a forum for discussing issues affecting Nigerians and Americans through research, planning, and dissemination of timely information.
Mission
CNF is a public policy organization dedicated to collecting, analyzing, and disseminating information on public policy issues that impact Nigeria and the United States of America.
Guiding Principles
As a public policy organization, CNF must strive to maintain a working, trusting, and unbiased relationship with various constituencies which impact or are likely to impact public policy as they affect Nigeria in California and the United States of America. At a time when there is palpable miscommunication or lack of communication about the Nigerian polity, CNF has an uphill task of attempting to facilitate a climate that will ameliorate the apprehension and suspicion that trails transactions between Nigerians and Americans. Therefore, CNF’s activities will be guided by the following principles:
Stewardship:
As responsible trustees of public trust, CNF will work with other stakeholders to provide the public with the best possible management of its investment in research and education.
Leadership:
CNF will accept the challenges of leadership, especially in public policy areas where thoughts are either too polarized for comfort, or too diffuse to discern any particular trend.

CNF believes strongly that its role in public policy affairs will greatly enhance prevailing views about the Nigerian experience both domestically and worldwide, recognizing the existence of gaps in unbiased, coherent, insightful public policy contributions which reflect Nigerian worldview.
